Uniting individuals experiencing homelessness with service providers, and reuniting them with family and offer tangible items.

Homelessness labels the individual as a problem person rather than trying to identify the problem the person is facing.

It is important to see the individual as a person, a
fellow human being, with unique circumstances.

About a decade ago, a dedicated group of law enforcement officers from various departments across Broward County gathered at the Davie Police Department to address the bureaucratic challenges in assisting individuals experiencing homelessness. Through collaborative efforts, they secured support from their respective administrations and established MAHT Broward.

The organization's primary mission is to help individuals transition from living on the streets to securing permanent housing. This involves reuniting them with family members, enrolling them in programs, or partnering with service providers to address their immediate needs. MAHT Broward combines compassion and empathy with a realistic approach, emphasizing the individual's responsibility in their journey. They ensure a seamless connection to service providers, remaining involved as long as necessary to support each person's success.
